2026/27 UEFA Champions League: Complete Fixtures & Schedule Guide
The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League is the 72nd edition of Europe's premier club football competition, organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Thirty-six clubs from across the UEFA member associations will compete in the expanded league phase format introduced in 2024, vying for the trophy at the Allianz Arena in Munich on 29 May 2027.
League Phase Matchday Schedule
Unlike the old group-stage format, the 2026/27 season uses a single 36-team league table. Each club plays eight matches — four home, four away — against eight different opponents. Fixtures are determined by a Swiss-system style draw held in August 2026.
| Matchday | Dates | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| MD 1 | 8–9 Sep 2026 | League phase opens |
| MD 2 | 22–23 Sep 2026 | Second round of fixtures |
| MD 3 | 30 Sep – 1 Oct 2026 | CEST (UTC+2) kick-offs |
| MD 4 | 7–8 Oct 2026 | Before winter time change |
| MD 5 | 21–22 Oct 2026 | CEST (UTC+2) still in effect |
| MD 6 | 4–5 Nov 2026 | CET (UTC+1) — DST ended 26 Oct |
| MD 7 | 25–26 Nov 2026 | Late autumn fixtures |
| MD 8 | 9–10 Dec 2026 | League phase concludes |
The league phase was originally scheduled to run through January 2027, but the final two matchdays are now concentrated in December 2026, giving clubs a longer winter break before the knockout stages resume in February.
Kick-off Times: CET vs CEST Explained
UEFA Champions League matches are played on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. There are two standard kick-off slots: 18:45 and 21:00 Central European Time. The key thing to remember is that Central European Summer Time (CEST, UTC+2) applies from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October 2026. After 25 October 2026, clocks go back one hour and the time switches to Central European Time (CET, UTC+1). This means that an 18:45 CET kick-off in November is 17:45 UK time, whereas the same 18:45 CEST slot in September is 16:45 UK time. For viewers in North America, the 21:00 CET/CEST evening slot translates to 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT during the winter, and 16:00 ET / 13:00 PT during summer.

- Quarter-finals: 7–8 & 14–15 April 2027

- Final: 29 May 2027 — Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany
How the League Phase Table Works
All 36 clubs are ranked on a single league table. Points (three for a win, one for a draw), goal difference, goals scored, away goals and head-to-head results determine the standings. The top eight teams qualify directly for the round of 16. Teams finishing 9th to 24th enter a knockout play-off round, seeded so that 9th plays 24th, 10th plays 23rd, and so on. The bottom 12 teams are eliminated from European competition entirely — there is no drop-down to the UEFA Europa League in this format.
Participating Leagues
The 2026/27 league phase features clubs from over 20 UEFA member associations. The strongest associations — England's Premier League, Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A, Germany's Bundesliga and France's Ligue 1 — each send multiple teams. Clubs from Portugal's Primeira Liga, the Netherlands' Eredivisie, Turkey's Süper Lig, Ukraine's Premier League and the Czech First League also feature, reflecting the coefficient ranking system UEFA uses to allocate places.
Jersey Types Explained
Each club releases several kit variants per season. The home kit is the primary strip worn at the team's stadium, typically in the club's traditional colours. The away kit is worn when there is a colour clash with the home team. Some clubs also release a third kit as an additional alternate strip, often used in European fixtures where both home and away colours clash with the referee's or the match ball. Long-sleeve versions are popular for colder European winter evenings from November onwards. Goalkeeper (GK) jerseys come in distinctive colours that must contrast with both teams' outfield kits, the referee's kit and the match ball.
Size Groups: Men, Women & Youth
Every jersey on this page is available in three size groups: Men (standard adult men's fit, sizes S–XXL), Women (tailored women's fit with a narrower cut and shorter sleeves, sizes S–XL), and Youth (kids' sizing, typically ages 6–14). Use the buttons on each product card to switch between size groups and view the corresponding product page. Women's and youth sizes use the same club design as the men's version, with adjusted fit and proportions.
